Your weight is largely determined by how you balance the calories you eat with the energy you burn. If you eat too much and exercise too little, you're likely to pack on excess pounds — including belly fat. However, aging also plays a role. Muscle mass gradually diminishes with age, and fat accounts form a greater percentage of your weight. Less muscle mass also decreases the rate at which your body uses calories, which can make it more challenging to maintain a healthy weight or lose excess pounds.

 

The trouble with belly fat is that it's not limited to the extra layer of padding located just below the skin (subcutaneous fat). It also includes visceral fat — which lies deep inside your abdomen, surrounding your internal organs. 

 

What should I eat to get a flat belly?

Your belly requires enough amount of proteins to build muscle that helps to burn fat. Foods that are high in protein and low in carbohydrates help you lose fat and get a flat belly. Proteins are the building blocks of muscle hence we can call it as the building blocks of life. More muscle means less fat in your body.

 

Don’t misunderstand the building muscles with bulking up in men.  Male hormone called testosterone responsible for that. So do not worry about that and eat a lot of foods rich in protein.

 

You should find out the foods that are rich in protein. An obvious protein rich food is lean meat. You can also take chicken breast and lean turkey. Another food is very high in protein and low in fat is fish. It’s better than beef and poultry as it contains less fat compared to others.

 

The best way to eat meat and fish is grilled without any oil, if you “cannot”, try to prepare your fish and meat with saturated oils like olive or canola oil. Never neglect veggies in your diet! If you want a flat belly, you have to consume a lot of vegetables and fruits in your diet too.

 

Soybeans are rich in protein too and do not forget about eggs. It contains a lot of proteins and it is so easy to prepare. Whey is another low-fat, low-carbohydrate, high-protein food source.

 

Combining protein with exercises will give you better and faster result.

    Eat Fish, lean beef, chicken, shellfish

    Grapefruit is good for sharp loss of fat from the belly.

    Drink whey protein shakes and low fat milk

    Eat dark chocolates for better digestion. Digestion is necessary to burn fat quickly.

    Yogurt


    Drink plenty of water. Never dehydrate your body.


    Include dried fruits, whole grains and cereals in your food chart.

    Eat Almonds, nuts and nut butter.

 

The best time to eat protein food is after your daily workouts. Enjoy the path and the result will come by itself.
